I’m Beth, a 25 year old from the Black Country. If you don’t know where the Black Country is, it’s an area in the West Midlands, just outside of Birmingham, consisting of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Just to be clear, it’s not Birmingham. I’m sick of going to different parts of the country and people assuming I’m a Brummie. Birmingham and the Black Country are different places and have different accents.

And while we’re on the subject of locations, the Midlands is a real thing. It was only when my sister was at uni, I realised that people from the North and South of England are convinced that it doesn’t exist.

I like to talk about all things mental health with a few posts about me thrown in along the way. This is my outlet to rant, moan and celebrate my experiences with mental health services.
